Greetings

I hope you had a happy and safe 4th of July weekend! I am sure this year's summer holiday is not typical, but nonetheless, we have to try to make the best of the situation that we all find ourselves in.

It's been over a month since I reached out. I think it is a direct result of my appointment schedule getting busier and not having as much time to write. I'm grateful for being busier both for the opportunity to take care of people who need it and for my livelihood! It's a win-win.

The last few months have made me realize a few things about my work as a physical therapist and a health care professional. I realized I am grateful for every single patient that I am currently treating. I am also grateful for every single person I have ever treated in the past. I absolutely love what I do. I love helping people feel better, move better, and get stronger. Most importantly, I love teaching people about their own bodies and how to take care of themselves.

It is an absolute gift to me that in a single day I can help a 6-year-old feel better and move better, help decrease the frequency and intensity of a 29-year-old with a history of chronic migraine headaches, and help an 82-year-old suffer less pain and walk again. Whether I see 5 visits a week or 30 visits a week, that opportunity to help others lead healthier and happier lives doesn't change. I'm not able to help everyone, but the possibility to help even one person is worth so much to me. Whether you have been treated by me or by another therapist that has worked for me in the past, I want to personally thank you for entrusting me with your health.

On a personal note, life has been good. June has been a fun-filled month. I've settled into my new office space in Bethesda. I've had quality time with the family camping on the Potomac near Antietam in early June. We also had a lot of fun together over Father's day and the 4th of July weekend!

The garden is blowing up. I've harvested broccoli, lettuce, kale, swiss chard, and plenty of herbs. The cabbage, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, cucumber, and squash are growing rapidly and I can't wait to see what they will produce. Also, some of the plants and wildflowers that I planted a couple of months ago are ready to flourish!

I've also been able to fit in a couple of rounds of golf and enjoy our neighborhood pool. Like I said, life has been good.

I understand that life is not always a bed of roses and some of you may be going through difficult times. If you are... I wish for you the courage and strength to persevere.
