Greetings

Good evening!

I didn't get a chance to send out this email yesterday (Sunday) as I had planned, but I still wanted to send you the weekly email.

Well... another week of this craziness is in the books. In my dealings with people this week, I recognized that people were really struggling this week. Saying it was becoming increasingly more difficult to deal with this ongoing situation. I agree... this week was especially hard for me as well.

I think it's important to recognize that it's okay to be dismayed, upset and frustrated. It's not always accessible to look on the bright side. So, I try to recognize the feelings I am having at the moment for what they are and when possible shift the energy to something else. A couple of ways that I am doing that is by working on projects I enjoy... for now, that is gardening and staying healthy.

If you find yourself outdoors working on the yard or gardening as well, then you might find the blog post for this week helpful. Check it out- Healthy Gardening TipsIn it, you will find some helpful information and tips for staying injury-free while gardening.

On a personal note... 3 things that I am thankful for this week!

First, I started treating my oldest son, Jacob, who is now 13. He has some ongoing postural issues and back pain, nothing major, but I have known for some time that he could use some consistent physical therapy. So, I figured since I have some extra time, it would be time well spent to give him some attention. We are aiming for 2x/wk for 6 weeks. He is on the schedule so it will ensure that it will actually happen. The few sessions we have had so far have been great. He is having less pain and is feeling looser and freer in his body... I'm enjoying our one-on-one bonding time.

Second, I have spent a lot of time in the garden this week. I planned, built, and prepared a 4x8 ft raised garden bed. I finished it over the weekend... the kids helped! Cheryl and I plan to fill it this week. I'm very excited about the possibility of planting more vegetables this year.

Third, I am thankful to have started my 30 Day Get LeanDuring Quarantine challenge for myself. My kit ($199 pictured here) arrived this weekend. I started it today. One of the best parts of the kit is the daily tracking sheet and the recipe guide. It will help hold myself accountable and take the guesswork out of it for me. I also took my weight and body measurements this morning. If I have the courage, I may share my progress with you in a month's time. My goal is to get back on track with feeling healthy and energetic... and hopefully lose a few pounds that I have gained in the process. :-) Wish me luck!

Well, I think that's it for this week. I hope you and your family are doing well. Enjoy your week!

Be Well,

Tamer
